I spent, no, I STOLE, one day of writing (okay, maybe 3).
And those were the best days of work.
Other than the time I went to teach young ladies for Girls Who Code.
The days in front of the computer were full of flow, and when people from "work" came up behind me, I would jump a mile.
And at the end of the day, I was so satisfied. And I have a new optimism for the world. That there are so many different stories to be had. That every car has a new story to tell. And that every story could be told inside out, and sideways. Exercises, but versions of itself, endless versions.
And the idea that putting one word in front of the other, like taking one step, one after the other.
Swimming in words, when the world is right with itself. And that the world is beautiful and your work is amazingly worth it (vs the other reason you are in the building and getting paid).
